When we found out we were having our first baby, and that he was due in August of 2009, my wife and I freaked out. We've got decent jobs, we'd kept a couple of dogs, a cat, and some houseplants alive for a couple of years, but we knew none of those could compare to the responsibility you accept when you bring a real live child into the world. When my wife told me we were having a baby, I was so excited, and so nervous at the same time.
We spent the first couple of months picking out all kinds of baby supplies; colors, baby furniture, cribs, changing tables, pack-n-plays, onsies, blankets, cribs, swings.... the list went on and on. I thought to myself, I was going to need to get a 2nd job to pay for all the baby supplies. I hadn't even thought about things like diapers, pacifiers, socks, and other little items that started to add up to a hole lot of nothing left in my bank account at the end of the month.

I knew that there had to be some secret, how were all these people having all these babies and getting all these things. Our parents are great, and they'd give about anything we asked for to help raise the little tyke, but this was OUR CHILD, and we wanted to be the one to provide for this welfare.
That's when I went online and started finding really good deals on websites like Amazon and Ebay. I know the old stereotype about eBay especially. I heard, sure you can get some used cheap baby supplies on the auction site, but you get the left-overs, the things that didn't work right.
When I looked around at eBay, I found a different story. Sure there are some used baby gear listed that is better off in the dump than my house. But I also found that you can get new baby supplies, and the best part about it was - They Were Cheap!
